ECHO
ECHO - Engineers Connecting
with High Schools through Outreach is a model designed to teach high school
students the advantages of a strong foundation
in mathematics and science. The sessions
focus on Aerospace Engineering,
Robotics, and Technology. Recognizing
the importance of science and mathematics
to career success, The Jordan Foundation
chose to develop the series to provide youth
with career awareness on the work of NASA. During
the seminars students will participate in
team problem solving activates, NASA exploration
goals and dialogue with science professionals. Follow
up sessions will be held in the areas of
Robotics and Science Trends. Students
will also have a strong focus on hand-on
activates to challenge youth on technology
challenges. This course is an innovative
concept to prepare students for careers in
science, technology and mathematics.
Topics include:
- Introduction to Science/Math
- Careers in Aerospace
- Careers in Robotics
